Greetings one and all for 2012 and with the new year well underway, I am ready for action.

I just thought I would mention that I had some one ask me a while ago if I had a nickname for my sewing machine and to be truthful I had never thought of naming my faithful friend other than 'The sewing machine' so having thought long and hard, I have now decided the very apt name for my sewing machine is 'Ethel thread the ready' unlike 'King Ethelred the unready' come on keep up ...remember your history. He was the King of England for a while, well at least when he found the time to be ready that is...so with 'Ethelthread' all M.O.T'd and ready for some high speed stitching, I have decided to start 2012 with the design of some rather delicious 'Dorset Funny Bunnies', these would be an ideal gift for Easter time or to have around your home, you can find full details of the 'Bunnies' on my Unique Gifts page...so go on why not make some one really 'Hoppy'.

And seeing as though 'Ethelthread' and I are up for a challenge this year, I have also decided to make some 'Perfect Penguins'.

Well its been really cold and snowy of late, so it got me thinking what better way to cope with the chilly weather than to stitch some little friends who love the cold. These guys can be found on my Unique Gifts page and are just perfect to decorate your home, or would look perfect in a child's bedroom. Each penguin has its own 'Dickie Bow Tie' so they do look rather smart...

Hello, I thought it was time to bring you the latest news and to let you all know that Christmas is on its way... its official!!. My first bit of news is that I have created a new page called Tickled Pink this is for comments that have been made by customers and the general public, and I can tell you all that 'I truly am tickled pink'!

I have also been busy stitching my latest Christmas Creations for you all to enjoy !. To start with we have some lovely 'Scrumptious Christmas Puddings' made using brown and white fabric, with embellishments of green cord and gorgeous red berry beads, a delight to hang on the Christmas tree or around the home.

And next ...

... I have made some rather cute 'Christmas Robins' which have been made using brown cord and luscious red fabric for his breast. Each 'Christmas Robin' comes with green ribbon attached for hanging.

Also a quick reminder for all my followers, that my next event is on 20th November 2011 10-4pm at The Real Craft Christmas Fair Milton Abbey School, Milton Abbas, Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 0DA.

Well here I am again, bringing you up to date news of what has been happening here at Simply me!, and guess what !!, I have been busy stitching and creating a new Can'Tank'erous Gizmo Holder (get it cantankerous, never mind, I wont give up the day job, I promise!). This has been created for all you rugged tough lot out there who have always wanted to own their very own 'Tank'. Well here it is and I do hope you all like it.

Also just to let you know, I have my first event next weekend 25th & 26th June at The Tank Fest at Bovington, Dorset so please do come along and see me. I shall be situated in the undercover market area. The show is on from 10am - 5pm both days; looking forward to meeting you all.

And lastly just before I sign off, I thought I would let you know that I seemed to be slowly getting the hang of Facebook. It only took me two days to set up my pages. "What" I hear you cry "Are you crazy? It's so easy!" Well I maybe speedy at stitching but not so speedy when it comes to the computer but I got there in the end, so why not pop across and let me know what you think?

Whilst you have all been relaxing and enjoying your bank holiday weekend I have been slaving away over a 'hot' sewing machine (nothing new there then!!!) creating a new 'Gravy Boat' Gizmo Holder for all you folk that need your Gizmos kept 'warm' and 'snuggly'.

Just to let you all know that 'Escargot' Gizmo Holders are now here (hurray!). He finally made it (phew)! Just hope you feel he was worth the wait...
